For those of you who are looking to automate your business I highly recomend using an auto-responder. There are many kinds out there and I would suggest using a free one first then upgrading later as your experience grows. Just Google in the search term Free autoresponder and you will find several to choose from. Most people like Aweber and Constant Contact but you can find others out there just to get you started.
I would also recommend that any emails that you put into an autoresponder meet some kind of standard.
1. Do your best to personalize the email you are sending. I’m not sure about the way aweber method but the way most auto responders use this feature is by using a {firstname} tag. Anywhere you want to say the person’s first name you would enter in that tag and it will use the firstname field that they signed up with.
2. When creating a subject line use the {firstname} and at times the {lastname} tags as to get the attention of your recipient. It’s great having an auto responder but if you send a message and you have a bad subject line nobody will see your copy.
3. Make your message original. Don’t use some generic autoresponder series that your company has put together. The reason you are emailing someone is to have him or her take an action and click on your link or visit your web site. I don’t know how many times I’ve gotten the same email copy from different people. Making your copy original will set you apart from others.
4. Put the link you want people to click on at the beginning, middle and end of your letter this way no matter where they are in the copy they have it right there. Unless you have a short email then put it only once.
5. Don’t use an affiliate link in your emails. This is a major flag that you are a newbie. You can loose credibility and smart people know how to circumvent affiliate links so you could also loose a sale. Cloak your affiliate link or create your own web page that links to your affiliate offer. You can purchase a domain name real cheep for a year and redirect that domain to your replicated web site that your MLM should provide.
6. Your subject line must be Attention Getting and the copy in the email must be persuasive. The average person has about a 15-second attention span so if you are lucky enough to get them to open your email then you need to show them the reasons why clicking on the link will be good for them. Everyone has the “What’s in it for ME” fever
7. When setting up your autoresponder put your first and last name in the senders field. the more times people see your name in their mailbox the more likely they will open an email from you.
I’m sure I could go on about this subject but my brain is still booting up. I hope this helps those of you who came here to learn and if there are people out there who have a different opinion of what I list here I would love to start a dialogue and learn from you.

For most of us, 10 new recruits equals a promotion - either for someone in our organization, or for ourselves. Sometimes it equals qualifications for a special incentive - perhaps a trip to some exotic locale, or maybe some designer jewelry.
Most of us, who follow the out-dated ideas that our upline offers, have been spinning our wheels watching THEM earn trips and recognition, while we sit scratching our heads, wondering why we aren’t getting in on the action. I mean, after all, we’re doing exactly what they told us, exactly the way they told us to do it.
Our upline said make a list of 100 people. Check.
Our upline said contact them all and ask them to “help” you get started. Check.
Our upline said it’s a numbers game, talk to everyone. Check.
Our upline said to stay away from running ads in the paper. Check.
Our upline said to do 3 way calls. Check
Our upline said bring our recruits to the opportunity meetings. Check.
Is your team growing by leaps and bounds?
Our upline never told us to be an authority on our company’s best product (that would be YOU!).
Our upline never told us to market ourselves first, and the company second.
Our upline never presents US as the authority. They become the “guru” instead of us!
Our upline never told us we could use the Internet to build our businesses on autopilot. Where do you start? Position YOURSELF as the expert.
How do you start? Look around you. I’ve been here less than a day, and the first thing I see are people pitching their programs to other marketers that came here to pitch their products to other marketers….
Yeesh. Are you a “me too” or are you really looking to boost your business? Don’t start swaggering about how great your plan is (unless that’s the Forum you’re in, then by all means, sagger away!)! I don’t want to hear it because I already know mine is the best! Right?
Give some value to people here. And I don’t mean pass on an affiliate link to some “free” information that will boost your bottom line. Did we all come here to help each other, or to help ourselves? This is supposed to be a “community of faithful”, so most of us already have a company (or two, or twelve) that we love. We’re looking for strategies to help boost what we’re doing, and make what we love even better.
So my mission for my blog is to do just that. I want to provide you some real value. Maybe it’s just a motivational thought one day, or a quick sales tip the next, but I promise it won’t be a bunch of filler fluff and affiliate links designed to make money off you. I’m here to help. I’ve been studying this pre-launch from the early phases and I’ve been documenting what we can learn from it to apply to our OWN marketing efforts. I’ll be sharing it on this blog and I can’t wait to hear what you think about it.
My wish for all this holiday season is that you find contentment. Satisfaction in what you’re doing, and hope in the promise of 2008. Hope is nothing without action, though, so I pray too that you take action on what you know needs to be done and keep striving to improve 1% daily.

I came across this artical that I thought it would intrest people so I decided to post it here.
A Revolutionary New Way For Affiliate Marketers To Drive Massive Online Traffic
Rick Jorgenson, along with a team of several other highly dedicated online entrepreneurs from Mass Traffic Network, are about to launch what in the online marketing world might be likened to another gold rush. The “gold” in this case consists in a revolutionary and very cost-effective way of driving massive amounts of highly targeted online traffic to one or more chosen websites. Accordingly, it’s called the “Mass Traffic Formula.” Anyone interested in a fail-safe, highly lucrative way to generate affiliate marketing income should give it careful attention.
An online marketer for the past 10+ years, Rick Jorgenson’s background has been in the corporate arena. As President of Integrated Direct Marketing Partners, he developed successful online lead generation campaigns for his clients, including IBM, Microsoft, eFax, and DirecTV. He was also a partner in a successful online mortgage lead generation company, Lead Magnet LLC, where he created successful online lead generation programs for small to medium size mortgage brokers in the U.S.
He has now applied the vast knowledge and skills he developed in this arena to online marketing generally and to affiliate marketing in particular. The team of highly accomplished partners he has enlisted to help develop and launch this unique and powerful new method for driving mass traffic have widely varied professional and business backgrounds. Their collective expertise has been instrumental in simplifying the inherent complexities of driving mass traffic and in fine-tuning Mass Traffic Formula into a highly user-friendly program that nearly anyone can apply effectively without specialized training.
Basically, the Mass Traffic Formula entails placing various kinds of advertising on hundreds, or even thousands, of highly targeted websites through large online ad networks. This advertising is targeted at diverse markets and demographic groups through specific marketing “channels.” One of the huge advantages of this approach is that the potential number of impressions for a particular ad vastly exceeds that of any other form of online advertising and is also markedly less costly per impression.
Although this basic formula can be applied in many different ways, the initial application in Mass Traffic Network will focus exclusively on affiliate marketing.
As all online marketers are well aware, their main key to success consists in being able to drive as much highly targeted traffic as possible to high-performing affiliate offers–or to their own products/services.
Historically, there have been three main ways to achieve this key objective: 1) Pay Per Click (PPC) through Google and other search engines; 2) targeted email campaigns to large lists of prospective customers; and 3) advertising on personal websites that have been optimized for targeted search engine traffic.
All of these approaches are challenging to say the least, and mastering them can be very costly both in terms of time and dollars. The numbers of marketers who either fail completely in using them or else enjoy very modest success greatly outnumber those who are highly successful.
By contrast, the Mass Traffic Formula, in its initial “push button” form, can be applied almost immediately with a high degree of success and with minimal basic training. This automated application utilizes high-performing affiliate marketing campaigns that have been carefully pre-tested and optimized. This simplified version will be provided to 150 qualified associates when Mass Traffic Network is formally launched in the near future so that they can get started immediately in generating positive cash flow. They can continue to utilize this simple, fail-safe means of generating affiliate income to whatever degree and for as long as they choose.
Additionally, however, these associates will be given intensive training in the complexities of driving mass traffic (including a two-day residential workshop) and will also receive dedicated coaching from the Mass Traffic Network team over a period of several months thereafter. This learning will enable them to design and implement their own marketing campaigns from scratch and will give them much greater latitude in utilizing the Mass Traffic Formula. Finally, as they demonstrate mastery, they will have the option of choosing from a menu of several advanced applications, each of which will offer huge financial potential.
Anyone interested in this unprecedented online marketing home based business can learn more about it and get on the Mass Traffic Network V.I.P waiting list by going to the website below.
